SCC Hosts Bake Off for CAFOD

Senior School Charity

Each year, St Columba's College hosts an inter-house Bake Off to raise funds for CAFOD. It is always a fun occasion, for a brilliant cause. Grant in Form 2 tells us all about the Bake Off:

The ever popular inter-house Bake Off was a great success. Bakers from all six Senior School Houses showed creativity and enthusiasm by entering cakes in support of CAFOD.

The competition was fierce, with many amazing entries, including house-themed cakes, monster cakes, a cake with teacher photos and a cake based on this year's school play, We Will Rock You.

Teachers and House Captains were the lucky judges, and everyone enjoyed their share of cake.

Along with being a fun day, bakers were encouraged to use Fair Trade products and £489 was raised for CAFOD.  During our week of social justice earlier in the year, we learned about CAFOD and the great work this organisation does around the world to support people living in poverty.
