Another great Columban Fayre!

Events Columban Community

The Columban Fayre, last weekend, was a great success and lots of fun was had by all. There were many stalls selling food and gifts, games and entertainment. The boys and their parents, and staff, put a lot of time and effort into preparing and running the stalls, in both the Prep and Senior Schools There was great competition among all of the Houses to see who would make the most money from their respective stalls and activities.

The BBQ, run by parents, was very popular and there were big queues for the Stocks where Headmaster, Mr. Buxton, Deputy Head, Mrs Marson, and Head Boy, James Bromfield, were among those who braved a soaking from buckets of water and the hose! The Bottle Stall was another favourite and everyone was entertained by the Lower Prep choir, bell choirs, jazz band, buskers, and Mr Lewis, running the Grand Auction.

Funds raised at this year’s fayre will go towards charity and the purchase of a school minibus. Our thanks to everyone for all of their support. We look forward to seeing you all at the next Columban Fayre, in November 2018.
