Admission to the College
Boys are admitted at 4+, 7+, 11+, 13+ and 16+. They sit age appropriate assessments for the younger ones and entrance tests in English, Maths and Reasoning, followed by an informal interview for the older applicants. Background information is also sought from feeder schools. Most candidates are tested and selected in January, but selection can take place at other times by arrangement with the Senior Master.A limited number of students enter at 13+ (most deferring places from the 11+ stage) and some also take the Common Entrance papers. External enquiries at 16+ are welcomed by the Head of the Sixth Form. In addition, selected ‘occasional entrants’ can be admitted during the school year if a place becomes available.
The management of admissions lies with Mr AKO Smith, Senior Master.
