Work Experience

Sub menu

The College has developed a formal one-week work experience programme for Lower Sixth students, which takes place following their AS level examinations and ‘Post-18 Options and Introduction to Higher Education and UCAS’ training sessions.

The College community strongly believes in the many benefits of work experience, but perhaps the most important include:

  • Helping in the transition from full-time education to work
  • Giving some awareness of the complexities of the working world
  • Developing self-confidence and awareness
  • Highlighting the importance of good school reports, hard work and good qualifications
  • Enhancing UCAS applications by reference to relevant work experience

The College would be very grateful for any offers to assist its placement programme or to provide suitable work experience for one or more Lower Sixth students next summer. For more information, please do not hesitate to email Mr Paul Kelly, Head of Careers and Higher Education, at
